POSITION SUMMARY
Lead Setup Technician to setup molds & tooling and oversee the changeover operation of all Thermoforming machinery to ensure efficient production and quality control.


POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create operating parameters and setup sheet guidelines for production machinery to establish baseline running conditions.
  • Perform adjustments to optimize the manufacturing process of the product.
  • Perform basic and advanced adjustments (shimming, web chasing, and assist/plug modification) to produce product that meets QC guidelines.
  • Perform advanced trouble shooting of manufacturing problems due to process or equipment failures. Identifying root causes to production quality problems.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance of production equipment and tooling.
  • Maintain and store tooling in an organized and protected manner.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to other setup mechanic personnel.
  • Strive to maximize production efficiencies while maintaining product quality.
  • Responsible for startup of thermoforming production equipment.
  • Document and update setup sheets during and after production run.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Should be fork lift certified.
  • High School diploma or GED required. Some College a plus.
  • 1 - 3 years direct industry experience or substantial mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to motivate and lead others.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, wrenches, drills.
  • Ability to use basic measuring tools, tape measure, caliper, micrometer.
  • Some electrical aptitude highly desirable.
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Position requires frequent bending, walking, and reaching for extended periods of time.
  • Must be a team player and work well with others.
  • Attention to detail is desired.
