We are the only company manufacturing blow molding, injection molding and large-scale thermoforming products dedicated to the nursery industry.

POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the President/CEO, The Director of Marketing and Business Development drives above average profitable growth for Nursery Supplies Holdings in all segments of the business.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver top line profitable sales as determined on an annual and future basis.
  • Lead and collaborate with the leadership team to develop short and long term growth strategies.
  • Develop metrics to track development activities.
  • Communicate status of all activities to the appropriate functions within the organization to include written and verbal communications, quarterly status review with the leadership team.
  • Garner support with leadership and functional areas to support new profitable growth programs.
  • Build business relationships with key decision makers at major garden centers in the in the horticulture industry including:
                --Big Box Home and Garden Decision Makers
                --Other Large Retail Home and Garden Decision Makers
                --Brand Owners
                --Seed/Propagation Company Decision Makers
                --Strategic Growers
  • Lead new business development projects.
  • Manage developed retail programs (i.e... primary contact, pricing, product decisions, etc...).
  • Maintain key relationships with strategic customers in the industry.
  • Work closely with Sales VP’s to drive sales at strategic accounts.
  • Assist the President CEO to gain and develop high level industry relationships.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or other related field.
  • 5+ years in an marketing or business development role.
  • Intermediate experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
  • Experience working independently to build relationships and develop new business.
  • Strong, polished communication skills both written and verbally; can negotiate and sell products/services to corporate clients.
  • Effective time management skills and ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize.
  • Energetic, go-getter with a drive to succeed.
  • Function effectively in a time-sensitive environment while meeting multiple deadlines.
  • Analyze and interpret complex activities/information in order to improve practices and processes.
