POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Start up machines and keep them running throughout the shift.  Fill greasers, oilers,   and silicone canisters as needed.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems.  Make adjustments to machine settings (heats, pressures, guides, etc.), adjust hole burner as needed, shim and deburr dies, fix stacker clips, clear machine jam ups, etc.  Perform some mold changes as needed.
  • Serve as back-up foreman as needed.  Make sure breaks and lunches for Inspector/Packers and Utility are covered. 
  • Keep rollstock flowing to all machines in the proper gauges and widths. 
  • Stage rollstock at all machines for the next shift. 
  • Keep the rollstock inventory area organized. 
  • Operate fork truck to move rollstock.
  • Check the Daily Schedule for machine assignments. 
  • Check the packaging on all formers for correctness and accuracy. 
  • Communicate change-overs to the Inspector/Packers. 
  • Assist in making and stamping boxes, labeling bags.
  • Fill out paperwork:  QC Check Sheet at the beginning of every shift and at change-overs; Reject Forms for all rejected raw and finished material; Production Sheet at the end of every shift.
  • Perform and oversee general housekeeping and cleaning duties.  See to the    grinding of scrap parts as needed. 
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.
  • Working in a safe manner, wear the required personal protection equipment and follow the company’s safety policies and practices.
  • Enter production information into company computer system.  
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Lift 25-60 pounds.
  • Read and write English.
  • Perform basic math skills.
